Everseen Sponsors the DCTI Databases and AI Lab

Everseen continues its partnership with the Department of Computer and Information Technology, started in 2012, with a full upgrade sponsorship of the Databases and AI lab.

The lab has been completely redesigned, renovated and equipped with new furniture, a video-projection system and 17 powerful workstations, each based on an Intel i5 processor, 32 GB RAM and deep-learning capable Nvidia graphic cards.

Everseen was founded in Ireland, in 2008, by Alan O’Herlihy and its mission is to develop software that optimizes in-person shopping experiences and enable retailers reduce losses and protect their gross margins. Nowadays, the Timisoara Everseen’s R&D Centre has more than 100 employees involved in creation of AI retail innovative solutions. The Everseen technology is used by five of top ten biggest worldwide retailers.

The DCTI Databases and AI lab will be used by students in the fields of database systems, data processing, artificial intelligence and computer vision.
